KONI Buleleng Prepares Special Bonus for XX Papua PON Medal Winners

As a form of appreciation for the achievements of Buleleng athletes who competed in the prestigious Papua XX PON, KONI Regency has prepared special bonuses for medal-winning athletes. This was revealed in an audience of the General Chairperson of the Buleleng KONI at the Buleleng Regent's Office, Tuesday (26/10).

On that occasion, the Regent of Buleleng, Putu Agus Suradnyana, ST gave his greatest appreciation to the Buleleng athletes who fought for Bali at the XX Papua PON 2021. Related to that, the application for bonuses for Buleleng athletes who had been able to win medals was immediately approved. "I have approved the awarding of bonuses to our athletes who have successfully won medals at the Papua PON. Hopefully, this will be a motivation in the future to practice even more so that we can make Buleleng proud,” said Regent Agus Suradnyana.

Meanwhile, the General Chair of KONI Buleleng, Nyoman Artha Widnyana, explained that Bali was ranked fifth with a total of 28 gold in the XX Papua PON last. This ranking is better than the previous PON, where Bali was ranked sixth. Specifically for the achievements of the Buleleng athletes, his party said that Buleleng won 3 gold, 5 silver, and 10 bronze. “Our target was 4 golds, unfortunately, we missed the target because the Muaythai athletes were ranked second. We lost to the hosts," explained Artha Widnyana.

As a form of appreciation to the Buleleng athletes who have successfully won medals, Artha Widnyana asked for approval from the Buleleng Regent to be given a special bonus and symbolically handed over later. "Although the Bali Province KONI has indeed provided bonuses for medal-winning athletes, we are in Buleleng and as a form of appreciation from the Buleleng Regent, we have also prepared a special bonus," he said.

Artha Widanyana hopes that the great potentials of Buleleng athletes can continue to develop along with regular training and experience in the championships that are followed. He believes that in the future, Buleleng athletes will shine even more in the name of Buleleng, be it at the provincial, national, and international levels.

PPKM Level 2, Activities at Sports Venues Allowed 50% Capacity

The decline in the PPKM level in Buleleng Regency to level 2 provides flexibility for people who want to organize activities at sports venues.

Based on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 30 of 2021, the implementation of activities that take place at sports venues is permitted as long as the people who come do not exceed 50% of the capacity of the venue.

style="font-family: arial; font-size: medium;">This was stated by the Head of the Buleleng Regency Education, Youth, and Sports Office (Disdikpora) Made Astika on Wednesday (27/10).

Astika explained that these rules apply to sports held both indoors and outdoors.

The 50% capacity limitation applies to everyone who attends the sport, including athletes, coaches, accompanying parents, and spectators.

The implementation of the prokes said Astika is of course also an obligation for those present, in addition, those aged 12 years and over must show a vaccination certificate through the PeduliLindung application.

"So it is clear whether this child has been vaccinated or not," he added.

Regarding health care supervisors and PeduliLindung application operators at sports venues, he said this was handled by each district administrator (Pengkab).

"Later, each district will be responsible there in relation to the athletes who come to the place of coaching and training," said Astika.
