The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources revealed that the economic price of PT Pertamina (Persero) Pertalite fuel has reached Rp 11,000 per liter. Meanwhile, Pertamina is still selling Pertalite for Rp 7,650 per liter.
Likewise, with Premium, the economic price has penetrated Rp. 9,000. However, this fuel is still sold for Rp. 6,450 per liter.
This condition shows, there is a price difference that must be borne. So, what did the President Commissioner of Pertamina, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok, say? He asked Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati to ask.
"This is a matter of Pertamina's task in a situation of economic recovery," he said.
The difference between the economic price and the selling price of Pertalite and Premium was initially revealed by the Director of Downstream Oil and Gas Business Development at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Soerjaningsih. He said the actual price of Pertalite or its economic price had reached Rp 11,000 per liter. However, Pertamina still sells for Rp 7,650 per liter.
"Petalite is a type of general fuel, normally the price of Pertalte is already above Rp. 11,000, the economic price. Then Pertamina still has to sell it for Rp. 7,650," he said in a press conference, Monday (25/10).
He said, to avoid public unrest due to high price increases, Pertamina as a state-owned company is expected to continue to support the smooth supply and distribution of affordable fuel. Meanwhile, Premium itself has an economic price of Rp. 9,000 per liter. Meanwhile, Premium itself is still sold for Rp. 6,450 per liter.
"Regarding the weight of the fuel subsidy, Elpiji, that's for sure. But we are indeed for this Premium-related fuel, there is compensation. Of course the difference between the selling price of Premium which is Rp. 6,450 with an economic price of around Rp. 9,000, so we can calculate how much compensation must be paid," he explained.
PT Pertamina (Persero) is said to still sell fuel below the prevailing economic price in the market. One of them is the price of Pertalite type of fuel.
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources stated that the price of Pertalite should have reached above Rp 11,000 per liter. However, currently, it is still selling for Rp. 7,650 per liter.
