Door To Door Vaccination in Jinengdalem Village, Targets 18 Elderly and Disabled Residents

To provide Covid-19 vaccinations for the elderly and disabled, the Buleleng Regency Government (Pemkab) provides door-to-door vaccination services or direct delivery from house to house.

One of these programs was implemented in Jinengdalem Village by targeting 18 elderly and disabled residents on Thursday (30/9).

The door-to-door vaccination was carried out by the Buleleng III Public Health Center guided by the Jinengdalem Village Government (Pemdes) staff. It was observed that officers traveled with a quite difficult terrain and could only be accessed by motorbike to go to residents' homes.

Perbekel Jinengdalem Ketut Mas Budarma said that the total number of elderly and disabled residents targeted for door-to-door vaccination was 28 people.

However, for now, it has only met the target of 18 people who can be vaccinated. Because as many as 10 people have mental disorders so that officers cannot give vaccinations.

For this reason, in the future, his party will make more efforts so that the 10 people who have not been vaccinated can immediately get the vaccine.

Meanwhile, Kadek Suningcaya Astawa as a Medical Officer from Puskesmas III Buleleng said the type of vaccine used was Sinopharm which was specifically for people with disabilities.

Today's vaccine is the second dose given after 21 days.

The door-to-door vaccination program was well received by the community, one of which was Kadek Angga Dika Pramana.

Dika admitted that it was very helpful because thanks to the door-to-door vaccination program, his grandparents could receive the vaccine without having to travel far to the mass vaccination site.

"Thank you very much because my grandmother can no longer walk far, fortunately, there is a roundabout vaccination," he said.

PMI Buleleng Pursues Target of 3 Thousand Blood Bags, Maximizes Donor Activities in the Community

The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Buleleng targets that by the end of the year it will be able to collect three thousand bags of blood.

Thousands of bags of blood were to meet the needs of all hospitals in the Earth Panji Sakti.

The Deputy Regent of Buleleng as well as the Head of PMI Buleleng, Dr. I Nyoman Sutjidra, said the need for blood every year in Buleleng reaches an average of 12 thousand bags or 35 bags per day.

Meanwhile, the current stock of blood has only reached 9 thousand bags.

For this reason, he targets that in the next three months, the shortage of approximately 3 thousand blood bags will be immediately pursued through various programs in synergy with the Indonesian Blood Donor Association (PDDI).

"This blood is very important. The need in hospitals is very high, especially now with the presence of Covid-19 and dengue fever, the need for blood is increasing. For this reason, until the end of this year, we are trying to achieve the target of availability of blood with a total of around three thousand bags. " he explained.

The fulfillment of this target, said Sutjidra, can be done by maximizing blood donation activities in the community.

Starting from the sub-district, village, Banjar, to other youth communities.

Sutjidra said that blood donation activities for the West Buleleng area had been carried out with a maximum target of 60 percent. Meanwhile, the East Buleleng area, namely in Sawan, Kubuaddan, and Tejakula sub-districts, Sutjidra acknowledged, had not been worked out optimally.

For this reason, within these three months, blood donation activities in the three sub-districts will be massively carried out to meet the target for blood needs in Buleleng.

"We will target community communities, such as Sekaa Teruna-Teruni, then at the Ngusaba Desa activities," he said. Meanwhile, the chairman of PDDI Bali, Ketut Pringgiantara, invited the entire community to be willing to donate blood.

Moreover, currently, PMI Buleleng already has a Blood Donor Unit (UDD) building.

"People don't need to go to the hospital anymore to donate blood. Now there is UDD which is more comfortable for the community," he concluded.

The Buleleng Regency Covid-19 Handling Task Force has prepared a mitigation scheme in educational institutions.

The mitigation scheme will be one of the standard procedures applied in all educational institutions. Especially during the Limited Face-to-face Learning (PTMT) period.

style="text-align: justify;">It is planned that PTMT in Buleleng Regency will be held on Monday (4/10) next week. Before PTMT is implemented, all educational units must have standard procedures in the learning process. Including mitigation schemes, if confirmed cases are found in the school environment. Both from students and teachers.

Deputy Regent of Buleleng dr. I Nyoman Sutjidra, Sp.OG said that the Covid-19 Handling Task Force would periodically monitor the PTMT process. He didn't want the PTMT process to trigger a spike in Covid-19 cases. Don't let school clusters appear. That's why the application of health protocols is absolute during the learning process.
