P6 ATAV, Latest Military Rantis

The Indonesian Army received dozens of military tactical vehicles at the TNI AD Headquarters in an official TNI AD video broadcast on October 13, 2021.

One of the military Rantis (tactical vehicles) received by the Indonesian Army is the P6 ATAV which is made by a local Indonesian manufacturer, PT Sentra Surya Ekajaya or SSE Defence.

The P6 ATAV is produced in Indonesia and the design and design are also made by SSE Defence. No wonder the P6 ATAV can be the pride of Andika Perkasa.

"I make sure in terms of technology, the latest technology. Then in terms of design selection, it is not easy. Because there are partners who have to go back and forth because they have to be corrected, revised. Back and forth maybe at least 10 times," said Andika Perkasa quoted from the video. on the TNI AD YouTube channel.

"So we don't take the concept for granted. But we refine, refine, refine again," he added.

The design of the P6 ATAV is indeed quite striking and distinctive with a unique modern minimalist touch.

"With a modern design like this, it will create a sense of pride and confidence for soldiers. That is very important because, in any task, self-confidence is needed," said Taufiq R. Abdullah, a member of Commission 1 of the Indonesian House of Representatives who participated in the P6 ATAV trial.

Not only is the design very eye-catching, but the specifications in the P6 ATAV are also capable.

For the P6 ATAV, there are several versions, and the most complete is equipped with RCWS (Remote Control Weapon System).

In the video on Om Mobi's Youtube channel, it is explained that this RCWS is a weapon that can be controlled from inside the vehicle with a digital control unit. "It can shoot various things. It has a sensor, so this RCWS has a thermal sensor, laser scanner, and can lock targets, "explained Arga, a representative of SSE Defense which produces the P6 ATAV. So it's like a tank. When an enemy vehicle enters, we can lock it. Where the vehicle wants to go, he will lock continuously towards the enemy," he continued.

This Remote Control Weapon System will fire bullets or munitions from a machine gun on the roof of the P6 ATAV Rantis.

The RCWS also features two joysticks for directional control, targeting, and launching attacks.

The RCWS on the P6 ATAV is also directly integrated with Gunshot Detection.

This gunshot detection detects the sound of gunshots to map the location and distance of the enemy or who launched the attack. Gunshot detection is also equipped with a tablet unit to view the map of the attack and can store up to 2500 attack data.

With the attack map, the RCWS can be immediately ordered to retaliate against the attack that occurs, even if the attack or shot is carried out by a long-range sniper (sniper). When he has an enemy shooting, he can save up to 2500 shots, of various calibers. Later you can select this RCWS directly to the target that has been selected," explained Arga again. For example, if there is a sniper far away, we don't know the direction. This gunshot detection can find roughly where the direction is, later we will know through the thermal sensor, approx. there are people there, we shoot," continued Arga.

P6 ATAV is a domestic product designed by Indonesia, manufactured in Indonesia.

Arisgator Tank, Alutsista TNI AD Modified M-113 which is good at land and sea.

It is known that the Indonesian Army has an amphibious tank capable of moving on land and across the ocean.

The main weapon system is the Arisgator Tank, which is a transport vehicle for amphibious troops.

The Arisgator tank is a modification of the M-113 military troop transport tank.

The developer of the Arisgator Tank used by the Indonesian Army is an Italian defense industry company, ARIS (Applicazioni Rielaborazioni Impianti Speciali). so becoming a Tank Arisgator requires some changes.

The thing that was changed was the addition of a muzzle on the M-113 Tank which was similar to the bow of the ship.

Where in the Arisgator Tank it is explained that the front muzzle is filled with rubber and cork. This is useful for increasing the buoyancy of the Arisgator Tank when navigating the ocean.

Not only that, the Arisgator Tank, a change from the M-113 belonging to the Indonesian Army, also has a wave splitting panel.

This is very useful when wading through oceans that have water waves.

Another addition to making the Arisgator Tank float in the ocean is the existence of a buoyancy box on the left and right sides of the Arisgator Tank.

Interestingly, although there are various changes to the Arisgator Tank from the M-113. However, the skills on the ground have not changed, so the Arisgator Tank is said to be able to run up to a speed of 60km per hour.

With this speed, the Arisgator Tank is also able to go without stopping for a distance of about 500km.

While the speed in the water Propellernya capable of propelling the vehicle in the water with a maximum speed of 5.8 km/hour.

The ground capability that is still capable of the Arisgator Tank plus amphibious capabilities is certainly very useful for the Indonesian Army.

Please note that the standard M-113 Tank has a 12.7 HMG or 40 mm AGL turret.

Where there are also remote controls, ballistic computers, and other sensor equipment.

Meanwhile, related to the protection of the vehicle body, it is said to be able to withstand 7.62 mm AP (armor piercing) bullets at a straight distance of 30 m.

In his native country, the Arisgator Tank is dubbed by the official name VAL and is used by the San Marco Battalion of the Italian Navy Landing Regiment.
