Regent Asks for Right Targeted Food Distribution

Providing basic food assistance is a form of concern for the Buleleng Regency Government to people affected by Covid-19, this time the assistance in the form of basic food packages came from Bank BPD Bali and the Balinese Chinese community which was received directly by Buleleng Regent Putu Agus Suradnyana, ST, in the Atiti Lobby Wisma Buleleng Regent's Office, Wednesday (18/8).

After receiving the necessities, Regent Agus Suradnyana hoped that later the distribution of basic food assistance would go well and could reduce the burden on the people affected by Covid-19. "I feel this is a tremendous step for our friends who have the advantage to continue to donate to our less fortunate colleagues," he said.

Regarding the distribution, the Regent, who is usually called PAS, said that the Buleleng Regency Social Service already has valid data and criteria that will be given to the people of Buleleng.

Meanwhile, Made Sudarma as the Head of BPD Singaraja Branch said that today, BPD Bali handed over 300 food packages to the Buleleng Regency Government. Previously, the Seririt branch of BPD Bali Singaraja had assisted with 100 food packages, so a total of 400 food packages have been given. "Hopefully the current situation, the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the implementation of PPKM can relieve the people of Buleleng Regency," he said.

In addition to Bank BPD Bali, Handoyo Tanujaya, who is the coordinator of the distribution of the Balinese Chinese community together with Inti Bali, is moving to relieve the community by simultaneously distributing 50 tons of rice throughout Bali. "Currently, in the first batch, we distribute 7.5 tons of rice specifically for Buleleng Regency. The next wave will distribute the amount to be determined," he explained.

Synergy with Private Parties, Buleleng Covid-19 Task Force Distributes Hundreds of Basic Foods Again.

The Buleleng Regency Covid-19 Handling Task Force (Satgas) continues to assist communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Buleleng Regency. One of them on Wednesday (18/8) was again distributed assistance in the form of necessities to the community. The assistance is a form of concern for the Regional Development Bank (BPD) Bali Singaraja Branch and the Balinese Chinese community. This was stated by Ketut Suwarmawan as the Coordinator for the Data and Information Division of the Buleleng Regency Covid-19 Handling Task Force.

Furthermore, Suwarmawan said the number of basic food items received was 400 packages from the BPD Bali Singaraja Branch and 7.5 tons of rice from the Balinese Chinese community.

Meanwhile, regarding the latest developments in handling Covid-19 in Buleleng Regency, Ketsu said there were new confirmations as many as 63 people consisting of 18 people from Banjar District, 20 people from Buleleng District, 2 people from Busungbiu District, 2 people from Gerokgak District, 4 people from Kubuaddan District, 3 people in Sawan District. people, Seririt District 1 person, Sukasada District 8 people, and Tejakula District 5 people. 5 people died. While the recovery today was 42 people, consisting of 6 people from Banjar District, 14 people from Buleleng District, 2 people from Gerokgak District, 3 people from KubuAddan District, 3 people from Sawan District, 5 people from Seririt District, 7 people in Sukasada District, and 2 people in Tejakula District. .

Cumulatively, there were 9,320 confirmed cases in Buleleng Regency with details of 8036 people recovering, 401 people dying, 877 people being treated in Buleleng, and 6 people being treated outside Buleleng.

Deputy Regent Sutjidra Distributes 150 Food Packages for PLWHA

As a form of government concern during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Buleleng Regency Government continues to distribute basic food assistance to communities affected by Covid-19. Today, Thursday (19/8) as many as 150 food packages from the Aids Management Commission (KPA) of the Buleleng Region have been distributed to Tejakula, Kubuaddan, and Sawan sub-districts targeting people with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA). This was stated directly by the Deputy Regent of Buleleng I Nyoman Sutjidra after the symbolic provision of assistance at the Sawan I Health Center.

Furthermore, Deputy Regent Sutjidra said that the assistance provided would be able to motivate PLWHA to remain enthusiastic, even though there is a viral infection in their body. "They should not be discouraged, ostracized, have low self-esteem, and can do other activities, but there are signs that we have given," he said.

In addition, Sutjidra said that the supply of antiretroviral drugs (ARV) in Buleleng was sufficient with several central areas, such as in the areas of Singaraja, Sawan, and Kubucepatan which could later make it easier for PLWHA to get ARV treatment.

"Nowadays, people living with HIV do not need to go to the hospital, because there are already several health centers in Buleleng Regency serving people living with HIV, so it is easy for PLWHA to get ARV," he said.
