Remove ASN Commission
In addition to mentioning the fate of honorary workers, Commission II of the DPR RI also proposed that the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) be abolished.
Responding to this, the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (MenpanRB) Tjahjo Kumolo said the anjuran could be discussed in depth in the special committee or committee.
"The issue of KASN transferring the duties and authority of the merit system supervision from KASN to the ministry, in principle, we can discuss in serpih later in the Pansus and Panja," said Tjahjo.
Tjahjo then emphasized that at this time it would be better to evaluate the performance of the KASN first, especially in terms of the function and role of the institution.
Evaluation, said the PDI-P politician, can be carried out starting from the merit system to evaluating the impact of the budget.
"Because in principle, strategic steps and priority scales that need to be taken at this time in modus to optimize the supervision of the ASN management merit system are to strengthen related functions and roles to evaluate the performance of KASN," explained Tjahjo.
"Then evaluate the merit system related to the needs and dynamics of the organization and the impact of the budget," added Tjahjo.
Furthermore, Tjahjo said that his party understood the anjuran from Commission II of the DPR RI. He said he would look into the anjuran.
"So we understand the honorable initiative anjuran from the DPR and we will be able to deepen it later in the next discussion," he concluded.
The Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian also showed his support.
He reasoned that the abolition of KASN would make the bureaucracy in civil servants easier.
"Regarding the abolition of KASN, the Ministry of Home Affairs supports in principle an easier bureaucracy for the management of the state civil apparatus," said Tito.
The former National Police Chief also supports the reduction in the number of ASN in the country.
In addition to making the bureaucracy more streamlined, Tito also said this was in line with President Joko Widodo's vision to encourage people to become entrepreneurs or become entrepreneurs.
"I think the kepelikan of reducing ASN is in modus to make the bureaucracy leaner, more flexible according to needs," explained Tito.
"There is also berseni vision from the President to encourage people to develop entrepreneurial skills, entrepreneurship, innovation and others, not just wanting to become civil servants. So that they will be more productive in supporting development," he added. (Tribune Network/dit/ wly)
