Startup Studio Indonesia

Startup Studio Indonesia is an early-stage startup development program organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia in 2020, in contrast to the National 1000 Startup Digital Movement which seeks startups at the ideation stage and is designing a minimum viable product (MVP), the Startup Studio Indonesia program targeting startups at the Angel stage (having received funding from angel investors) to pre-series A.

In the first batch, the Startup Studio Indonesia program received 668 startups that registered from 32 provinces in Indonesia and were then screened into 20 selected startups.

The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information has officially announced 15 selected startups to take part in the Startup Studio Indonesia Batch 3 intensive incubation program. Startup Studio Indonesia is a program offered by the Ministry of Communications and Informatics that aims to assist and foster digital startups that are in the product-market fit1 process so that they can grow. grow so fast.

Startup Studio Indonesia is here to strengthen and complete the digital startup empowerment program, the 1000 Startup Digital Movement and Nexticorn, which was previously launched by the ministry. Through this program, Kominfo targets to produce 150 digital startups by 2024 that can develop their business scale, in terms of the number of users, total revenue, employment, and funding from Venture Capital.

Launched in 2020, Startup Studio Indonesia has grown to become one of the most popular startup incubation and acceleration programs in Indonesia. Through a rigorous selection process, there were 15 early-stage startups out of a total of 5,723 registrants who were finally selected to take part in a series of incubation programs for Startup Studio Indonesia batch 3.

Imajin (marketplace for manufacturing)

Keyta (keyboard application to support online buying and selling)

Powerbrain (energy management company)

CreativeHub (freelance marketplace)

Sgara (shrimp farming platform)

Soul Parking (parking management solution)

Zi.Care (digital hospital information system)

The third batch of the Startup Studio Indonesia program will take place from September to December 2021. Continuing to carry the concept of more brainstorming, and fewer classes, Startup Studio Indonesia focuses on providing knowledge and practical insights through coaching sessions by more than 60 facilitators who are active startup practitioners and leading.

“The coaching session will focus on discussing efforts to improve products and business models, as well as increasing user loyalty/retention before the startup enters the market expansion stage. Fifteen selected startups will participate in Founder's Camp and 1-on-1 Coaching sessions related to product-market-fit for four months. The series of Startup Studio Indonesia programs will then be closed at the end of the year with Milestone Day, where startups have the opportunity to explain their business models and achievements in front of startup industry stakeholders. In the 1-on-1 Coaching stage, selected startups have the opportunity to be coached and trained directly by facilitators consisting of well-known startup practitioners, such as Moses Lo (Xendit Co-founder), Christopher Madiam (Sociolla Co-founder), Fajar A. Budiprasetyo ( Co-founder of Happyfresh), Suwandi Soh (Co-founder of Mekari), Hiro Kiga (Co-founder of Wallex), and so on.
