Maximize PAD Achievements, BPKPD Again Gives Relaxation and Tax Discounts

In a series of months of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the Buleleng Regency Government (Pemkab) through the Buleleng Regency Financial and Regional Revenue Management Agency (BPKPD) again provides relaxation to taxpayers, specifically on land and building taxes (PBB) and tax arrears.

Confirmed in his office, Thursday (26/8), Secretary of the Buleleng BPKPD, Ni Made Susi Adnyani confirmed that in 2021 his party will launch relaxation for taxpayers. This was done as a strategic step for the Buleleng Regency Government in maximizing local revenue (PAD). “We have abolished the UN fine for taxpayers this year. Then for tax arrears from 1990 to this year, we give discounts of up to fifty percent," said Secretary of the Ban Susi.

He added that the relaxation of the 50% discount given to taxpayers was also considered good, especially since Buleleng is still in a pandemic condition. In detail, a 50% discount is given to PBB P-2 taxpayers until 2009 and a 25% discount for PBB P-2 from 2010 to 2015.

Sekban Susi explained that previously PBB levies were still managed by KPP Pratama, then in 2013 PBB was delegated to BPKPD Buleleng to collect taxes. “Maybe the community is still in arrears on taxes from 1994 when it was still managed by KPP Pratama. Now, we want to maximize PAD from the arrears by providing 50 percent relaxation," he explained.

In addition, BPKPD Buleleng also held a tax celebration for taxpayers who had paid taxes with a deadline until the end of 2021. Various kinds of prizes are ready to be given to taxpayers who have paid taxes, what is more, interesting is that this year's tax celebration has the main prize in the form of a motorcycle. “We also do this tax celebration to excite taxpayers to be enthusiastic about paying taxes. All of this we do is for the common interest to build Buleleng,” said Susi.

For information, as of today, the collected tax collection has reached 47%. This achievement has decreased since Covid-19 hit Buleleng. Even so, Sekban Susi remains optimistic that with the provision of relaxation and tax discounts, tax collections will increase until December 2021.
